"I've visited many hot springs resorts around the country, and they all seem to have one thing in common: no place for privacy. For the same price as you'd pay for other hot springs resorts, or ski vacations, you'll get a private suite, a giant tub for two, breakfast, and  afternoon wine tasting.  Skiing at Mt. Ashland is a “best-kept secret” and they’ll even give you lift tickets for two at no additional cost.   It is the best value we’ve ever found, and only approximately 5 hours drive from San Francisco.  I recommend leaving on Sunday afternoon and checking in Sunday night and staying 4 nights to take advantage of the mid-week specials.  It's a much better value than Tahoe. Skiing starts end of November. That's my favorite time to come to Lithia."
